9月18日、横浜市港湾局は横浜港の今年上半期(1～6月)の外貿コンテナ取扱量を公表した。133万1428TEU(前年同期比3.1％増)と、2年連続の増加となった。内訳は、輸出が70万7171TEU、輸入が62万4257TEU。8月にはAPLの北米航路、航路別の取扱量では、東南アジア航路は45万2364TEU(前年同期比12.3％増)、中国航路は33万571TEU(前年同期比4.3％増)と前年実績を上回った。豪州・ニュージーランド航路、ナホトカ航路も増加した。一方で、北米西岸航路は13万4999TEU(前年同期比15.8％減)、北米東岸航路は1万2928TEU(前年同期比9.1％減)と減少。韓国航路も前年実績を下回った。全体からすると9月にはCOSCOの中南米航路が新規就航しており、今後、横浜港はさらなる取扱量増加につながる見通しだ。
On September 18, the Port Authority of Yokohama City announced the volume of foreign trade containers handled by Yokohama Port in the first half of this year (January-June). The company posted an increase of 1,331,428 TEU (up 3.1% y-o-y) for the second consecutive year. The breakdown is 707,171 TEU for exports and 624,257 TEU for imports. In August, APL's volume by North American route and route was 452,364 TEU for Southeast Asia (up 12.3% YoY) and 335,71TEU for China (up 4.3% YoY). Australian and New Zealand routes and Nahotka routes also increased. On the other hand, North America's West Bank Traffic Route declined to 134,999 TEU (down 15.8% y-o-y) and North America's East Bank Traffic Route declined to 12,928 TEU (down 9.1% y-o-y). South Korean routes also fell below the previous year's level. Overall, COSCO's Latin American and Caribbean Traffic Route was launched in September, and Yokohama Port is expected to further increase its volume.
