日通総合研究所は、「2020年度の経済と貨物輸送の見通し（改訂）」で外貿コンテナ貨物と国際航空貨物の輸出がともに2年連続でマイナスを記録するとの予測を明らかにした。外貿コンテナ貨物の輸出は9.2％の減少を予測。特に4-6月期はコロナ・ショックによる下押しで、前期からマイナス幅が大幅に拡大した。海外の設備投資需要は回復の勢いが弱く、機械類は低調な荷動きが続き、前年度水準を下回るという。国際航空貨物の輸出は13.5％減と2年連続のマイナスを予測。4-6月期はコロナ・ショックによる下押しで欧州線と太平洋線のマイナスが拡大し、半減を超える大幅減となった。ただ、アジア線は新型コロナの早期収束を受けて、回復基調が鮮明という。
