航空運賃、コロナで高騰も収束へ Airfares were rising due to corona, but are decreasing

The air freight rate, which had reached a record high due to the new coronavirus, has fallen. The fare on China routes, which has reached 10 times the normal time due to the shrinking cargo space, will remain below 2 times the same level. Although the supply space is still limited due to the reduction and suspension of passenger flights, fares are falling due to sluggish cargo movements worldwide. Spots from Tokyo to Shanghai (contracts from time to time) cost over 70-200 yen per kilogram. Compared to around 60 to 80 yen in normal times, it will increase from 20% to double even at high prices. Fares are also declining on Western routes. Tokyo's US West Coast, which was over 5 times the normal in April, is about 3 to 4 times. Europe from Tokyo, which was 3 to 4 times, is 2 to 3 times.
