新型コロナウイルスの影響で記録的な高値を付けていた航空貨物運賃が下落している。貨物スペースの縮小を背景に一時平常時の10倍にまで達した中国路線の運賃は、同2倍以下で推移する。旅客便の減便・運休で供給スペースはまだ限られているが、世界的な荷動きの低迷で運賃は下降している。東京発上海行きのスポット(随時契約)料金は、1キログラム当たり70～200円強。平常時の60～80円程度に比べ、2割増から高い時でも2倍程度にとどまる。欧米路線も運賃は下落傾向。4月に平常時の5倍を超えていた東京発米西海岸は、3～4倍ほど。3～4倍だった東京発欧州は2～3倍で推移している。
