9月28日、関西国際空港を運営する関西エアポートは、台風 21 号による被害について十分に検証し、今後の防災計画を策定するため、災害対策タスクフォースを立ち上げたことを発表した。タスクフォースでは護岸・地下施設の調査・分析、危機管理体制の見直しを行う。国土交通省による「全国主要空港における大規模自然災害対策に関する検討委員会」と連携し、検証・対策を進めていく。そのほか必要性があれば随時検討するという。
