オーシャンネットワークエクスプレス(ONE)によると、カナダのバンクーバー港で2月12日時点で8日間から15日間の沖待ちが発生している。同国の中西部を襲った大寒波の影響で内陸向け貨物が港に滞留していることに加えて、コロナ禍による荷役作業員不足も重なり、ターミナルが混雑しているという。対応策として輸出貨物の制限を開始し、各船会社ごとに実入り・空コンテナの個数制限を設定。鉄道会社も冬季期間中の貨物引き受けや貨車運行を制限しているが、荷量は増加傾向にあるという。
