日通、中国・蘇州―ベトナム・ハノイで鉄道輸送サービス開始 Nittsu Launches Rail Transport Service between Suzhou and Hanoi

日本通運東アジアブロックが、中国・蘇州(江蘇省)発ベトナム・ハノイ向けクロスボーダー鉄道輸送サービスを開始した。中国華東地区とベトナム北部のいずれも電子機器・部品関連を中心とする製造業集積地を結び、リードタイムは8～10日。中国発アセアン向け海上輸送もスペースと空コンテナが不足し、運賃が高止まりする。代替輸送需要を見込み、BCP(事業継続計画)に対応する新サービスを開発したという。

Nippon Express East Asia Block has launched a cross-border rail transport service from Suzhou (Jiangsu Province), China to Hanoi, Vietnam. The service connects eastern China and northern Vietnam, both of which have a high concentration of electronic equipment and parts-related manufacturing industries, with a lead time of 8 to 10 days. Ocean transport from China to ASEAN countries is also facing a shortage of space and empty containers, and freight rates remain high. In anticipation of demand for alternative transportation, the company has developed a new service to meet BCP (Business Continuity Plan) requirements.
