The emergency declaration regarding the new coronavirus has been lifted nationwide, and forwarders are also formulating policies for future sales and business systems. Some offices other than on-site offices such as cargo handling and customs clearance will raise the office attendance rate and gradually relax the work-at-home system that has been recommended until now, but will be extended for the time being in preparation for the second wave and infection risk. Therefore, the situation is different depending on the company. Nippon Express is working from home with the goal of having a company attendance rate of 30% or less at the head office and some departments, and will continue during May. Kintetsu Express plans to return to the normal system from July 1. West Japan Railways International Logistics Business Division (Nishitsu) will change the standard of office attendance rate from 60% to 80% from the 27th. Hankyu Hanshin Express gives priority to customer support and employee safety, and implements remote work and planned closures while coordinating individual departments. Even after the total cancellation, we will continue to recommend remote work from the perspective of infection risk. Although there are differences in how each company responds, there is no such thing as urgently stopping working from home and returning to the normal work system.
