All Nippon Airways (ANA/NH) has announced that it will suspend operations until the end of August for the "Okinawa Freight Hub," which has been suspended since the end of March due to the new coronavirus. In August, in addition to operating temporary cargo flights on six routes connecting Narita to Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Seoul, and Frankfurt, the number of scheduled Narita-Guangzhou flights will be increased to six round trips per week. On three passenger flights, Haneda-Los Angeles, Narita-Ho Chi Minh, and Haneda-Shanghai (Pudong), all or some of the passenger flights will carry passengers and only cargo and mail. The Okinawa Freight Hub, which connects Asian countries with freight flights centering on Naha Airport, will begin at the end of March due to difficulty in securing crew members due to immigration restrictions in each country, and shortage of cargo space due to drastic suspension and reduction of passenger flights. All flights connecting to the airport are suspended.
