AITは、上海ー東京間をフェリーと鉄道で結ぶ「ハイブリッドプレミアムサービス(シー&レール)」について、これまで週1便だったところを3月28日から週2便に増便した。同サービスは、AITグループの上海倉庫で荷受け後、上海-大阪・神戸港間を日中国際フェリーのフェリーで、大阪・神戸-東京間はJR貨物の鉄道で混載保税輸送し、東京から最終仕向地まで配送を行うもの。同社は、新型コロナウイルスの影響で中国からの航空貨物スペースが不足し、運賃も高騰していることから、混雑により納期の見込みが立ちづらい東京港揚げの海上輸送を避け、安定的に6日で輸送できるシー&レイルサービスを拡充することで、顧客の要望に応える。
