Two tankers, including a Japanese shipping carrier, were attacked on 13th of June near the Strait of Hormuz. In response to this incident, major Japanese shipping companies have continued operations after taking measures such as avoiding dangerous seas and tightening their guards. About 80% of the crude oil imported by Japan passes through Strait of Hormuz. It is said that the company, which operated the damaged tanker, will operate with the consent of the seafarers unless the channel is closed.
