Nippon Express's Japan air exports volume in September amounted to 26,942 tons (15.8% year-on-year). Despite the negative impact of Typhoon No. 21, such as a decrease in the number of airports departing and arriving at Kansai International Airport, shipping demand rose for the 26th consecutive month over the previous year. The year-on-year increase was recorded in all areas of TC1, 2, and 3. By direction, TC1 increased by nearly 30%, TC2 increased by nearly 50%, and TC3 increased by half an order of magnitude. On the other hand, the number of customs clearance for air imports in September was 35,790, down 6.6% from the same month of the previous year. The rate increased for seven consecutive months until August, but turned negative due to the impact of typhoons compared with exports.
