マースク、初の航空貨物チャーター輸送を実施 Maersk launches airfreight forwarding operations with charter flights

マースクは、初の航空貨物輸送チャーターをタイ発日本向けで実施したと発表した。 同社は10月初旬に子会社のダムコが手がける航空貨物事業を統合しており 、航空輸送もマースクとして手掛けている。今後は航空貨物サービスをメニューに加え、コスト削減に適した主力の海上輸送と組み合わせて貨物ごとに適した輸送モードの提案につなげるという。

Maersk has launched airfreight forwarding operations with the addition of charter flights between Thailand and Japan.The expansion in airfreight forwarding comes following the integration of former forwarding subsidiary Damco early October.The company said its airfreight services would complement its existing ocean freight transport provisions.“By combining the speed of air with the cost savings of other modes, customers will be able to reduce inventory and improve their service offerings by fast response time at an affordable price,” it said.
