西日本鉄道(にしてつ)は、2020年度の組織改正により4月1日付で、海外事業部を住宅事業本部から独立させ、「海外事業開発部」を新設させる。商業・オフィス・ホテル・倉庫などを含めた開発を推進するとともに、海外での商機の取り込みを図る。また、国際物流事業本部に「通関部」を新設。航空・海運部門に分散する通関機能を部として統合し、統制強化を図るほか、関税法の改正でAEO認定事業者が貨物の蔵置場所を統括する税関官署以外の官署への申告が可能になったことを活用し、業務効率化にも繋げる。
Nishi Nippon Railway Co., Ltd. will make the Overseas Business Department independent from the Housing Business Headquarters and set up the "Overseas Business Development Department" on April 1, due to the organizational reform in 2020. Promote development including retail, office, hotel, warehouse, etc. and aim to capture business opportunities overseas. The “Customs Clearance Department” was newly established in the International Logistics Business Division. In addition to integrating the customs clearance function distributed to the aviation and shipping divisions as a part, strengthening controls, and amending the Customs Law, AEO-certified business operators can declare to public offices other than the customs office that controls the storage location of cargo. Utilizing this, it will also lead to operational efficiency.
