タイ国際航空(THA/TG)は、タイ内閣によって破産法に基づく会社更生手続きが認められた。今後、申請手続きに入る見込みで、会社解散、清算、破産宣告はない。旅客輸送、貨物輸送ともに通常通り事業を継続することが可能。新型コロナ終息後には旅客便をフルオペレーションに戻すとしている。 同社はタイ政府資本を中心とするナショナル・フラッグキャリア。新型コロナウイルス感染拡大で、大手フラッグキャリアが事実上の経営破綻となるのは初となる。
Thai Airways (THA / TG) has been approved by the Thai Cabinet for corporate reorganization procedures under the Bankruptcy Law. The application process is expected to begin in the future. The company will no longer be dissolved, liquidated, or declared bankrupt. Business can be continued as usual for both passenger and freight transportation. After the end of the new Corona, passengers will return to full operation. The company is a national flag carrier centered on Thai government capital. It is the first time that a major flag carrier has become a virtual bankruptcy due to the spread of new coronavirus infection.
