日本航空(JAL/JL)のメルボルン向け貨物便が、離陸後成田空港に引き返した。現地当局から新型コロナウイルスで入国規制を強化したとの連絡が入ったことによる。12月23日午前8時45分に成田空港を出発したが、午前9時すぎに現地当局から入国規制強化の連絡が入った。規制の強化で乗務員が現地で隔離された場合、戻りの便が運航できなくなるため、正午ごろに引き返すことを決めたという。同社は現在、メルボルン行きの旅客便を週1回運航しているが、今後の運航については検討中だという。
